The range at a glance
Tools are grouped by the operation they perform, because that is how a machinist picks them. Select a family to see specifications, or ask us directly if the operation is unusual.
| Family | What it covers | Typical materials cut |

Catalogue items and custom tools are quoted differently
A catalogue item is quoted from stock, and the only variables are quantity and coating. A custom tool starts as an engineering conversation, because the geometry has to be defined before it can be ground.
This matters for lead time as much as price. Catalogue tools ship in three to five working days; custom geometries and OEM tooling take fifteen to twenty-five working days because the grinding set-up and the inspection plan are built around your drawing.
Tools, holders and collets are one system
A cutting tool is located by its holder and gripped by its collet. Each interface adds runout, and runout loads one flute harder than the others, so the tool chips or wears unevenly while most of its life is still unused.
Because we manufacture all three, we can state the runout of an assembled tool, holder and collet rather than the runout of the tool alone. That assembled figure is the one that decides tool life and surface finish in the machine.
What to tell us when you enquire
The more of this you can give at the first contact, the more useful the answer will be. If you only know part of it, send what you have.
- The operation: drilling, milling, turning, boring, tapping or grooving
- The workpiece material, and its condition if it is hardened or pre-treated
- The machine interface: BT, HSK, CAT, VDI, or the holder you already use
- The cutting diameter, depth and any reach limitation
- Whether coolant is used, and whether it is through-tool or flood
- Whether you need a standard geometry or a special, and the annual quantity if it repeats
Frequently asked questions
Do you sell individual tools or only in packs?
Individual tools can be ordered for catalogue items with no minimum quantity, because they are held in stock. Custom geometries and OEM tooling start at fifty pieces per geometry, since the grinding set-up has to be amortised across the batch.
Can I order a trial quantity before committing to a production run?
Yes. Trial quantities of catalogue geometries are normal, and for a custom tool we can produce a small first batch for cutting trials before the production quantity is confirmed. The geometry is frozen after the trial so later batches match what you validated.
Do you supply tool holders with the cutting tools?
Yes, and it is worth doing. Most reported tool failures trace back to runout at the holder rather than to the cutting edge, so supplying the tool and holder together lets us state the runout of the assembled set, which is the number that governs tool life.
Can you match a tool I am already buying from another brand?
Yes. Send the tool or its drawing and we will match the geometry and propose a substrate and coating for your material. Where the original specification is unclear we will say so rather than guess, and we can run a comparative cutting trial against your current tool.
What documentation comes with the tools?
Catalogue and custom tools ship with a packing list and a certificate of conformity. Dimensional inspection records are available on request, and for OEM production the inspection scope is agreed with you at the drawing approval stage.
